HRA Accounts Q&A — Ongoing Updates
These questions will apply to all participants, regardless of the plan & will be updated frequently
WEX shows that I have a time limit on using my funds. Do I lose these funds at the end of the year? No - WEX runs on a calendar year cycle, and has the count down for all accounts. Lake Forest HRA accounts will not expire and will roll over year to year.
Will I continue to receive a monthly HRA balance statement in the mail? No, there will no longer be monthly statements sent in the mail, but all balances will be visible online and on the WEX app.
What happens if I decide to change medical plans at Open Enrollment? If a participant choses to change medical plans for the next year, there will be a 30-day run out period for the previous year claims. After the 30 days is complete, HR will enroll the participant in the new HRA type and the funds will be moved to the new account. This will temporarily impact fund availability for participants during the fund transfer timeframe. HR will work closely with those who choose to change plans to ensure HRA accounts are converted.
How do I find out my balance of my HRA? Log into your WEX account and you'll find your HRA balance.
