The Office of the City Manager directs day-to day operations, oversees department coordination, and executes Council policies. They also liaise with elected officials, residents, and regional partners.

Communications & Community Engagement is responsible for public information and City-wide outreach. The Communications team manages media relations, newsletters, and the City's digital presence. The Comms team plays a crucial role in community engagement and provide timely updates

The City's IT department is responsible for maintaining the City's computer and telephone systems, copiers, security cameras, and emails. 

The Finance department is responsible for Payroll, Direct Deposit, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Vehicle Stickers, and Water billing.

The City's Community Development department oversees planning, zoning, code enforcement, and building permits to guide sustainable growth and development. ComDev staff  work closely with builders, developers, and residents to ensure compliance with local regulations.

Our Senior Resources department are out of the Dickinson Hall Senior Center. They are dedicated to serving Lake Forest's older adults. Dickinson Hall offers a range of social events, health programs, educational classes, and support in a welcoming environment.
